Dutch prime minister opens World Pride Human Rights Conference

Jetten, 39, in February became the Netherlands’s first openly gay prime minister. His centrist D66 party won the country’s elections last October. Geert Wilders’s far-right Party for Freedom narrowly lost. Jetten took office after he formed a coalition government that includes the center-right Christian Democrats and the center-right People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy.
